Interesting article. Like the other one about year 2001. Kind of supports things I've been saying. Interesting points that Uddenfeldt made about early problems about GSM. Confusing about the TDMA issue. In one breath the article annoints Uddenfeldt poineer of TDMA (in the mobile phone genre, he is one of many, TDMA as a digital standard, no), then talking of Jacobs and Linkabit producing the first TDMA wireless local loop phone. Which came first the chicken or the egg? Thanks for the URL. The real shame is, if not for Viterbi, niether would have been named (algorithms are the basis for both).
