I got some info last night at the club that I don't know what to make of. I was talking to a guy I've played both against and with for over 3 years and never knew what he did. We got talking about investing and I was bragging about my CPQ windfall over the past week and a half. When I mentioned CPQ he then got quite upset. It turns out he's a small (<5M/year) PC reseller who has been exclusively CPQ. What's got him upset is that CPQ can't deliver and he's losing bucks because he's having to go to HP to make his commitments. He said he is going to stop quoting CPQ systems.

I see this as both good and bad news. Good, in that CPQ is selling everything they can get out the door, ie. no channel stuffing. Bad in that CPQ has lost at least one customer and this makes me wonder about the rest of the channel and how they're faring.
