These stocks were also viewed as "defensive" w.r.t. "foreign exposure" by many investors. I like to play WMT in this sector - it is so dominant a weight in the index, besides performing well. Note, picking WMT plus the 6 sub-sector leaders: BBY GPS HD WAG SWY and MCD would have returned ~ +87% (a little less than WMT alone) and, leaving out McDonald's, the kapital gains would be ~ +95% (a little better than WMT), with a bit less specific risk than WMT alone. Another good balance to TechSpaetzles - this year - but essentially an employment:disposable income minus USD:Asian+LatAm currency import cost situation, which may or may not continue to exist. Personally, I give RLX.X one-half the weight of DRG.X in my portfolio. -Steve
