flodyie, The SEC subpoena, issued by agency attorney Victoria Levin and served Feb. 11, seeks B.A.T.'s technical papers and substantiation of announcements of new B.A.T. business relationships with companies in the Czech Republic, Germany and elsewhere. The SEC also seeks information on all ''private placement memoranda, disclosure documents and other documents relating to the offer or sale of any securities (including any stock) of B.A.T.'' Levin, who was unavailable for comment, wrote that the subpoena ''should not be construed as an indication by the commission or its staff that any violation of the law has occurred.'' -NEXT!!! -N.G.
