Nortel has their own IT organization. Quite large one as you would expect.

Since the merger with Bell Sygma, and with BCE soon to have controlling interest, BCE would be very happy to see Nortel using CGI.

The problem is, with the integrations that have taken place and the amount of new work on the plate right now for CGI, giving a huge new contract to CGI wouldn't make sense in the very short term. However, in the longer term, say 12 months from now, it could make alot of sense for BCE to start outsourcing Nortel IT business to CGI. Obviously, it has to make business sense to do it but I'm sure they will find the right projects and/or outsourcing opportunities.

The good news is that Nortel's IT business is huge, a yet to be exploited opportunity where CGI has the inside track! And let's not forget Bell Mobility, etc.!!!
