His advisors have been saying, one last "from the heart" apology is needed to sway fence sitting moderate republicians. The market seems to be reacting favorably.

Here's an idea. Clinton resigns. Gore becomes president. Names Clinton his VP and promptly resigns. Clinton becomes president and names Gore VP and we all go on down the road.
