Marc: Good post. I agree that the worst thing that could happen market wise is a full blown trial in the Senate. Andrew Johnson's trial from start to finish lasted two months. But unlike in those days, we have a record courtesy of Mr. Starr. So if we do go to trial, there is the possibility in my mind that both sides will agree to stipulate to some things to get this thing to a vote up or down in short order. Otherwise, it is OJ all over again and that will make the television media happy because there will not be any programming decisions to be made for months plus there will be very little in the way of programming costs incurred. And the ratings will be a lock! Maybe they can get this thing scheduled during prime time soap opera viewing! It costs far less to cover a story here in the US than to cover news in, say, Iraq <g>.
