To All, A late Xmas spin, if not a complete lie: "Compaq raises its dividend by 33% due to the great long term outlook for the co." Now, I know the pc outlook sucks, though I am not certain CPQ does. And I know they have stuffed the channel. And I know you have to bull the stock for bonus purposes. However, knowing that this co. now feels it has the financial muscle to pay out 2 cents a quarter instead of 1 1/2 cents changes my mind completely. <G> That huge payout gives you some perspective about the reality of tech stock eps and how they really feel about free cash flow. And CPQ is in much better shape than most tech cos. MB
