To All: Just ordered 3 GX1 optiplex with a 6 day lead time, sales rep says he is working 12 hour days and the phones are always lit up. This brings our total to 12 optiplex ordered in the last 6 weeks, we will order approximately 35 to 40 more in the next 3 months. We are proceeding slowly because we expect the prices to keep dropping and we are unable to handle all the replacements at once. How can we interpret? We like Dell but we also want to pay the lowest price possible. I do not sense that Dell is in a saturated market in any manner. We will be replacing our compaq File servers with PowerEdge servers in the second and third quarter of 1999..... Good luck to all.
