Daniel, <<theStreet.com ran an article recently claiming that last week's Barron's article on FDX (and by implication other haulers) ignored the substitution effect >> I saw it and discounted it frankly. It reminds me of a recent analogy, that the sub Zero computing segment would be the death knell for high end systems. I don't entirely believe that either. If you widen the bandwidth for remote ordering it makes sense you increase the sales of products that must be shipped. And frankly, I am not sure I care through which medium the order is placed. It is still a shippable order. One thing I might mention is that such catalogs, whether printed or seen on the web, have opened up access to a lot of products world wide that were not formerly available. So, in other words, I think that E-sales will continue to grow with the internet giving it further momentum which has been basically been underway for quite some time as working couples continue to find ways to better manage their time (so they can spend more time on AOL chatting <G>).
