Steve - Welcome to the thread. I hope you find your SI investment worthwhile, as well as this thread. I suggest starting with the first posts and skim through to get some good info that was posted by many here. There are research links, discussions about online brokers, disciplines of trading, and such like that. Take the next hour and invest it looking at previous posts, I think you will find it worthwhile.
If you have done some research about this thread, as it appears you have, you know the loose rule structure that we have in place here to keep the thread on course and enjoyable for all.
When posting, please start off by stating the name of the person you are addressing and then any issue that you are speaking about. For example:

This makes it very clear the person and intent of the message. Makes things a lot easier to follow.
I also have you down on the list to act as a specialist for us. We are still finalizing a list and Poet will most likely be giving you a newbie introduction, although we haven't confirmed this as of yet. As of right now, I believe Poet was going to be challenged with Newbie Inroductions and education (where to do DD, sites, stuff like that).
