Brush Creek postpones shareholders' meeting

Brush Creek Mining Development, Inc. won't bring its shareholders together for a special meeting this month,
after all.

Instead, the publicly held Grass Valley-based company said it will provide a tape of a conference call conducted
this morning with shareholders to anyone interested in hearing about its financial and legal problem and
proposed 10-for-1 reverse stock split.

Attempts to reach the number the company provided Thursday to hear the conference call (1-800-553-0381)
brought only a recorded message that the call could not be completed.

The company announced plans for today's 8 a.m. conference shortly before 5 p.m. on Thursday.

President Larry Stockett said Thursday Brush Creek no longer is considering a proposal to seek bankruptcy
protection.

The special meeting of shareholders - which the company announced only Wednesday - has been rescheduled
for Jan. 30. In a press release, the company said it needed to be sure material for the meeting can reach
shareholders in time for the meeting.

In another announcement, Brush Creek said its gold-mining exhibition center at 120 E. Main St. will be open to
the public tonight and Dec. 18 during Cornish Christmas celebrations in downtown Grass Valley.
