Cross referencing does still work, for instance ICBG put out a news release on 12/04/98 and it showed up on all the companies news releases in the article. It may all depend on which news wire it's reported to. I got it from @Home's news. quicken.com FWIW here's a good article on how MM's manipulate OTC BB stocks, dimgroup.com
