Re the PE, ultimately I consider a PE of _less_ than 20 more conservative than 30 for CPQ in the long term. Yanking the closest Standard & Poor year end stock guide off the shelf, for '96, CPQ had a PE of 12 the last day of trading in '96. It was selling for $48/share.
Here's another one, for '94: Again, it closed the year with a PE of 12, closing at 39 1/2.
If you are interested, I'll look for more year end guides, but over time, 30 is a high PE for our CPQ.
