Sure, David. What is he being accused of? Are you going to go with the Schippers litany of every possible count of lack of cooperation with Grand Inquisitor Starr? Along with Schipper's unspecified further evidence, no doubt, the kind of further evidence everybody is always hypothesizing here. Plus the tack on article of disrespect for adulterous papal knight Hyde's loaded questions? He lied in a deposition in a civil suit, about his relationship with Lewinsky. Starr set a Tripp trap, as it were, and he got caught. Do you share K's awe and respect for truth and justice administered through the civil tort system? Some think it works out to an impeachable offense, some think not. Having lived through the Watergate cover up and the Iran-contra cover up, neither of which ever really ended, all the cover up and obstruction charges here seem strangely picayune in comparison. What more does anybody want to know about this tacky little affair?
Oh, and I'll repeat my question to brees. Do you expect this to magically clean up our politics, however it turns out? Or do you want me to go check out your proposed 30% federal budget cut cleanup method, against the sum of SS, Medicare, Medicaid, military spending, and interest on the national debt?
Or do we want to go into the JBL question, and talk about how impeachment is going to improve our ability to deal with international problems? Months of uncertainty usually helps tremendously in dealing with those kinds of situations. Are the attack dogs going to lay off Gore and let things stabilize if Clinton gets thrown out?
