Note that even if true. I'd expect the Indigo^2 line to stick around for a little bit as the engr. cost are (long buried) and the early production woes are in the past -- thus they can probably bump down the price. The R10K I2 is fully in production, has all the IRIX apps certified for it, and while the rumoured systems offer the potential of 2x (at least) to CPU power (2xR10K according to Infoworld) they'll probably get priced starting a bit above the current I2's and extend up into the "hole" between the 54K MaxImpact and the 85K Onyx2 Reality.

The rumour (if true) would position the O20 in between current I2's and Onyx2's until (with volume, experience, etc.) they can crunch out the I^2.
