I'm gonna add my two cents here on the 32 bit issue. I think those that argue 32 bit advantage have a point. However, will 32 bit advantage be an OEM selling point or a retail selling point? V3 will be really fast, 2X AGP and 4X AGP, 16 meg and Glide. V3 is supposed to have better visual quality than V2 and Banshee from what I've seen posted on the board. Sellers has once said that Banshee 2/V3 would be OEM only. IMO they've put together a high quality card (twice as fast as anything out today), at a very low price, using existing technology (read reliable hardware & drivers) for which they can really ramp up production (.25 is supposed to be cheaper and faster to build). We're talking about the ability to deluge the market with the TDFX name at a time when Rampage will have been announced and TDFX would once again have delivered the King of the Hill bad boy card. OEM's that are looking at the retail market will jump all over this card just to get the name in the ad. 1 million Banshees sold and lots' of people are knocking it. I'll take twice as fast as V2 SLI over slightly prettier as a marketing logo any day. Am I starting to get a tad bit optimistic again? Joe C.
