Lawrence, Just ran some numbers in eBay site: Ebay participants are responsible for roughly 227,500 shipped packages per week or 11,830,000 packages per year.
Assumptions-- Ebay's published numbers are truthful 25% of all listed items actually sell (WAG) All sold items are shipped.
Give them a 50% growth rate in listings next year (probably conservative) and you are talking about 18 million packages. Who cares what is in them.
