(following is from a home-theater newsgroup posting. no reason to suppose these people have any concerns about stock price.)

Colors were very good and so was brightness. The depth of the image is not as good as with an expensive line quadrupled 3 gun projector, but for $15000 and excellent projector and maintenance is very cheap. Only a 100 watt bulb that needs to be changed from time to time, and no dimming problem like normal projectors since the bulb is only 100 watts, not 400.

I saw the Vidikron right next to the Projectavision exhibit. It's my
understanding that both have the same basic internals from T.I. (2 chip). The Projectavision includes a 60" R/P housing at a suggested retail of $8000. The Vidikron is supposed to be around $14,000. Would I spend that much more for a fancy molded plastic housing? I don't think so! An unnamed T.I. rep told me he overheard the Vidikron rep during the exhibit setup that he "didn't know how he could compete" against the Projectavision.
Time will tell I guess.
