Bob,

FWIW, TLAB has been on my list of stocks to watch. Quantitatively it fits the profile, but I simply don't understand the risks present. I do watch its stock price go up and up, however, and plot ways to not miss stocks moves like this <g>.

When I hear that they're running into Cisco and Lucent going forward that makes me quite uncertain. Somebody like yourself is probably better able to assess your competitive environment and staying power. I simply don't have the insight in this area.

Do you feel that TLAB has sufficiently high switching costs? Proprietary Standards? sufficient pricing power?

Is an alternative and effective competing technology just around the corner?

Is TLAB involved in a "gorilla game", where one company will end up dominating with the remainders left to fill niche spaces?

If I felt I could comfortably answer questions such as these I'd be far more confident in investing in the communications space. It's just all so confusing.<g>
