The EU approval is really good news. I honestly expected this in Q1 1999 according to the cautious messages sent to me by Astra. Why did the Vivus share price not pop, neither yesterday nor around 1-2 Dec? Don't berate Vivus everyone. Astra, not Vivus had responsibility for applying for mutual recognition and it was for Astra to make the press release. Has anyone thought that Astra might have said to Vivus, "Keep your mouth shut about everything unless we say, otherwise the deal is off." Perhaps it is the partner that decide when opportune moment for announcement. When I first E-mailed Astra IR, got friendly replies "how's the weather there" "I was in England last year" etc. Now only very short tight-lipped replies from boss of IR department.
