When you think about it, what are those 386's and 486's doing out there anyway? Y2K is the perfect excuse, if nothing else, to replace them. Rule of thumb is that classic Pentium and newer should be ok, but in testing everything we had at work (talking PC stuff right now), we found some Pentium based that failed, due to BIOS on the motherboard. So, regardless of what TK said this week (only mainframe owners need worry, he said), you really need to look at everything, if date means anything in your applications.
