Ty, Brian, you guys have given me a wealth of information in the various URLS's....about as far as I have gotten so far is the Fortune article, I printed it out and read it several times. I consider myself a "hardcore" realist, in spite of the outward trappings of dementia and unchanneled digression, I like the bottom line in areas of physical realities, ie; the body is just a complex bio-physical machine, and doctors are mechanics who are only as good as their troubleshooting skills. In most cases we "laypeople" are at their mercy, but I consider myself a pretty darn good shade-tree mechanic who is not opposed to seeking alternatives in whatever form to the "flat rate" medicine being shoved down our throats.

My doctor may have ten consultations a day to tell others the "bad news", the only one that counts is MINE, and when I get my 15 to 20 minutes to decide whether the next 10 to 40 years are worth living, I intend to put both of his hands (and feet if need be) firmly to the fire. I suggest others take this approach in dealing with their physicians. These specialists often earn more $$$ in an hour than I do in three days, make them earn it for heaven's sake!

Cheers, and many thanks to all!
