Anthony.....You must tell the thread why though.......allow me.......If you open an account in canada....you can use the assets in your accounts to short other items for a 2- week period without ever having to actually borrow the stock....at the end of two weeks you will have had to either buy it back if you havent already....or rotated to the amount of the debit or rotate your account through other sells of long securities.......Canada trys to claim that they mirror U.S. laws, but their are major loop holes for the active trader....... You dont have to worry about extensions.....margin calls.....and you can sell a different security 2 weeks after you bot another one to cover....... Anthony, you are one of the best and i would be a subscriber of your news service if you ever had one..... mike
