No, odd as it may seem at first, you're seeing it the wrong way. I think the lack of ads for members is central to the ability to collect the lifetime fees- it remains a main REASON one wants to pay the fee- if ads appear here you can expect WAY too many refunds to be handed out, thank-you. If you follow the feature overview in the "register here" pages, you'll see that NO ADS is indeed a selling point. I want to read posts on a nice plain and calm page without a bunch of mood altering eye candy dancing about, thank-you. I think Go2net recognized fully the reasons SI had cornered the market in stock talk, and so readily agreed to continue as per tradition. Try downloading these posts both with and without ads. How long did each take? Case closed for the near future, I hope!
Also, I believe the numbers of non-member readers of these posts has been and will be great enough to draw such many ads as do exist on this site.
You want your stock to make more money, but believe me, you do NOT want to mess with success!
