Cheeky, you aren't reading my messages.

I asked you to define what you mean by the terms you use. Why would that be a question for Bill?

I didn't ask anyone about what they believed will happen in the year 2000.

My answer to your question?

I haven't the faintest idea what will happen.

First of all, as I wrote very clearly in my last post, I only started looking into the Y2K problem about a week ago. Secondly, I have no technical expertise whatsoever, so it would be preposterous for me to pontificate on this subject. Thirdly, people who strike me as trustworthy and balanced as well as expert, also say that they can't be sure what will happen.

I am a skeptic by nature, so I tend to look especially long and hard at those who make dogmatic, unqualified assertions about the outcome -- whether that be total catastrophe, or just a bump in the road.
