Robert,
Its hard to say what the market would do? I would need alot more info
than what you gave me to give you my opinion. That's all it would be
is a opinion.
The reason I commented on ESST was that there seemed to be a pattern
to what the market was doing to some stocks after earnings release.
If the stock had a recent run up in price and met earnings or did
not have a rosey forecast for the future the stock was wacked. ESST
has had a huge run up in stock price and a P/E of 80, so it seemed
they might get hit. I don't own or have shorted ESST.
Matthew - your comment about the PC business slowing because of what
Intel stated. Q1 would be flat from Q4 which is Intels best quarter
ever would be great for the PC industry. If I remember correctly
Intel had a hard time meeting demand for some of the CPU's.Last time
Intel stated a flat quarter they blew out estimates. They are playing
a game with the ANAList so Intel can beat next quarters numbers. Poor
Intel, no real competition and there margins might slip from 63% to
what 60%.
Go S3 Greg
