Hi Jack:
AOL stock has been run up by a bunch of dumb fumbs, some mutuals
tossed a lot of money into the stock..and don't know how to getit back out with out getting burned..sooner or later she will crash big time
the EP is pure horror, and hype about new sign ups, will fade
they lost their butt in Russia, and didn't mention how
this last drive, was not just a result of flat rates, but of all
the free..try me disks they sent out..have two friends using it
( when they can get on )..for free..nobody I know personlly
is paying for it..<G>
Solution for AOL is to restructure..turn it into a fanchise type
deal like make it the McDonalds of he internet but let each server
be owned indepentently, and make them live up to certain standards
like so many modems requied before taking in new sign ups,..
it's over centralized the way it is and top heavy..and the vast
majority of ALO users are getting ripped off..this will never
work the way it's going..changes need to be made..in the whole
structure..not some band aid cure..the upgrading they are talking
of is like trying to fix some one who got caught in a meat grinder
and is bleeding from every limb, with a few band aids.
