The GOP never wanted this thing thrust upon them. They are only enforcing the inevitable consequences of laws (broadly defined sexual harassment, indep counsel statute) that Clinton and Democrats passed but thought would never come back to haunt them.

When Frankenstein kills, I feel least pity when it kills its creator. Don't blame the cop, blame the law. If Clinton were GOP he'd already be gone.
