No, not really. After all, the bandits aren't necessarily all bigtime traders--to a considerable extent they achieve their aims by acting in concert. And hey!, the one who sometimes turns up on CNBC tries to promote himself and his buddies as representatives of the Little Guy--not a very plausible defense of their activities. But certainly there are plenty of traders who don't conspire with others before making their moves.

As for the late-session sells, well, who knows? There seem to be plenty of people out there who're still concerned about an earnings shortfall. Could be that. Could be some follow-through on it Monday, but there may be enthusiasm as well. We'll know in about 24 hours.
