Why do some of the Y2K'ers disregard any fixes or positive news on Y2K? They usually just tell me how complex it is....blah...blah...blah.

Those guys are alarmists.

>>>>Do I sense a certain lack of open-mindedness here?<<<<

I WAS a Y2K believer, BUT when I started doing my own tests on items around the home and office and found out that everything worked, when the dates were advanced to the year 2000 and beyond, turned off and on, etc....After those tests, those Y2K experts lost all credibility with me.

Now I am a skeptic. I could be proven wrong in the year 2000, but I believe I am on the right track.....Y2K is riddled with hype. Now I ask....WHY is Y2K full of hype? Do people love doom and gloom? Or are there other reasons?
