Hi jim... really? You mean, Oracle preconfigured on NT on the Dell servers? Wnder how msft feels about that... I always felt they bullied Dell out of Navigator - maybe. It doesnt really surprise me, in house Dell is 100% Oracle but I wondered if that would change after Sql server shipped.

I was under the impression that there was something with Oracle Enterprise manager going on at Dell. Absolutely no idea why I think that so dont call me on it. But, its a low end NT configuration thing, so maybe.

Preconfigured databases on small to mid range boxes are the way to go imo. Honestly I dont think it matters that much at the low end whether Sql server or Oracle is on there to the Dell customer - just a guess. Oracle has a high end feel however.
