Don...as in your sister's case who just wants access to the internet, email, chat, etc...and does not want to mess around with a PC (I am assuming the last part because PC's are not user friendly to many people --- at this point that is), she still does not need an NC to do that. The Sun NC costs 750 bucks with no monitor and keyboard...an one that's fully equiped (meaning no hard drive, etc,) costs about 1500 dollars. You can get a fully loaded proprietary pentium multimedia system for under 1000 dollars these days (fully loaded here meaning CD ROM, monitor, 33.6 modem, full duplex multimedia, software). Eventhough you're sister may not need or want all of these things, paying 750 for the Sun NC just to surf the internet is NOT cost effective. Maybe all she needs is a Web TV ??? Joe
