Wrong, John. Capone was convicted of tax evasion. You can check tincat.demon.co.uk if you wish, the first thing a quick web search came up with.

Of course, for your purposes it's all the same I'm sure. Tax evasion wasn't the worst of Capone's crimes, it was what they could pin on him. I know that everybody will bleat the same thing about Clinton and perjury, and I think that's a crock. It's common to use perjury charges as leverage to get testimony up a chain of witnesses in organized crime cases. It's not common to have perjury as the ultimate charge at the end of the chain. Who was Starr going to get Clinton to testify against?

As for all of Clinton's other "crimes", where's the evidence? Has Drudge been leaked something new? Did he kill Vince Foster? Why was Starr so incompetent on this stuff, and why did he waste so much blather on titillating detail if he had other good stuff to share? Or are we going to go through the "obvious" blackmail that Clinton was doing with those FBI files? That every was afraid to talk to Starr about, for unknown reasons?
