Ken, the experts haven't done much better than the probable outcome of decision making by coin toss based on stats published in Smart Money. I don't have the article handy, but from memory, I think Abby Cohen led the pack making the right call about 64% of the time. Ralph Acampora was fourth, barely beating the 50% mark. Next week (12/17) semiconductor Nov. book to bill numbers come in. We're going to see some volatility. Oct's numbers will be defined as a trend reversal or a trend setter. Here's a nice chart, showing the recent bounce off the high Bollinger band. iqc.com The Russell 2000 hasn't performed as I had hoped it would, but the sideways movement has created a triangle pattern, signaling a powerful move is coming.
