Re: "I am trying to understand if the minimum upgrade to convert pre-Rambus computers to Rambus DRDRAM will be a new motherboard, CPU or what?"

What public information there is seems to indicate that Intel's Camino chipset will support RDRAM with a Frontside Bus @ 133mhz. The Katmai processor is the only processor that has been mentioned to support the 133mhz FSB as well so it would seem that you will need both a new motherboard/chipset and CPU to make use of RDRAM. Talk is these will be available in the Feb/March timeframe.
