Speeding Up Browser-Based Brokers FWIW, I have downloaded the 20 day free trial of this $49 US software product and will be checking it out on Greenline and Investorline next week to see how much it improves performance. midcore.com It will work on either 1 or 2 modem lines to your ISP. It speeds up access by Incorporating what appears to be faster cache Breaking a page into many more multiple parallel requests that can be individually cached. Breaking larger file downloads into two parallel requests Incorporating a fail-safe mode for downloading large files (It only speed up your browser accesses, not other software that accesses the internet) So far it appears to help quite a bit, but I will have to check it out next week near the market opens. John PS - The installation is a little more complicated than usual since it requires you to put in additional windows components and you then have to dial up through their icon ... however, if it helps significantly, it will be worth it.
