Alex: Value-oriented funds may outperform growth funds this year. PBHG has recently launched a value fund, however, I have yet to move any money into it. I am considering shifting money from Emerging Growth to Large Cap 20. EG has lagged for a while now. Any thoughts? Another reason I like the PBHG funds is that subsequent investment minimums are $25. That's nice for those of us who are still working on building up a sizable portfolio. Good luck in 1997...I hope this year isn't a tough one... Michael
