Hi Bob. Thanks for the reply. I'm also from the Guelph area and curently living in Ottawa. I've also heard they plan to expand the plant. Not too long ago Sleemen invested 4.5 million into Brewers Retail which makes them one of the top three owners of BR. The other two are, as you probably guessed, Molson and Labbats. This has allowed Sleemen prime marketing space at all BR outlets.

As for a Molson buy out, I don't believe at this time its going to happen, but in the future I think Sleemen will become very attractive to Molson for a couple of reasons. First, Molson just recently lost its rights to make and market the Coors line of beer, as such lossing quite a large chunk of revenue. Second, craft brewing is the wave of the future as consumers, exspecially the baby boomers, get tired of the MASS produced beers such as Molson Canadian and Labbats Blue. Molson has alot of cash and have recently stated they were looking to acquire a good beer producing company. Since Molson doesn't have a popular craft beer line, and Sleemen is developing quite a reputation as one of the best, I think the fit would be perfect.

Just my opinion

Gary

By the way, I don't own any shares of Sleemen yet. Just can't find any excess cash right now.
