NYSSA's Seminar & Investment Strategy Committee presents Ralph J. Acampora presenting a
technical look at the current financial markets, his outlook, and investment suggestions. Mr.
Acampora is well-known for having been one of the few technical analysts on Wall Street to
foresee that the Dow Jones Industrial Average, perhaps the most widely accepted barometer of
the stock market in general, would achieve record gains. He is a widely recognized industry leader
in the field of Technical Market Analysis who was ranked number two is technical analysis in the
1997 Institutional Investor poll.
With over 30 years of technical experience, Mr. Acampora has been instrumental in the
development of "modern day technical analysis". Mr. Acampora co-founded the Market
Technicians' Association in 1970, and is a past president of that group. He founded and was the
first Chairman of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) comprising 4,000
colleagues around the world, and helped create the Chartered Market Technician (CMT)
examination. Additionally he serves on NYSSA's Board of Directors.
