Officials for Palo Alto-based Sun, the world's largest maker of computer workstations, and Oracle, the largest database software company, declined to comment. Kernels from operating systems software such as Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, System 10 from Apple Computer Inc., FreeBSD and NetBSD may be used.
I use a modified form of Linux myself, and this may be a real threat for msft.
I think you need to buy both of these and short msft Monday.
