You think you're being funny? About ten years ago I bought a new iron. The instructions specified:

When in use, the iron becomes very hot. Always hold the appliance by its handle.

I also purchased a very simple, basic telephone. Not even digital. Its manufacturers had managed to come up with an entire paragraph on "what to do when the phone rings".
