Tom,

Amen to what you stated. I would like to add that I do not beleive the perception of the public ought to be considered in whether or not the President is impeached. It is a legal issue and should be dealt with as such. Are there grounds for impeachment and that is the only question, period. It should not even be partisan, but of course, it will be. To throw public perception into the mix would make it even worse. I don't give a rat's back side whether or not the public supports it or is against it. It is immaterial and quite frankly those that put that out as a reason for not impeaching Clinton are dismissed rather quickly by me. That reason for non-impeachment is an emotional reaction by someone who refuses to meet the issue head on.

Since I don't like to get involved in political arguments or any argument on SI, I suspect this will be my last post on the subject. I felt a need to vent a little as I have read a lot of stuff lately that is rather off the mark in my opinion and I hope my thoughts generate some reflection as other's posts do so with me.
