Thanks for the bookkeeping tips. I think the Day planner is a great idea and I hope it will eliminate all the little pieces of paper now floating around on my desk.

Donna, I am very interested in the tax advice, as I think our accountant is going to have a bird when she sees what I've done! Could you offer more advice as to what we should have ready? I had thought the monthly statements would be all I needed. I have read elsewhere that it is a good idea to hire someone to keep up with your trading regularly, that way the IRS goes after them if a question and not you. Have no idea about a Schedule D. I think this is a great topic, especially for us newbies.
