Well whoever we have to thank for the high tech industry (and I happen to agree it is somehow related to defense expenditures) the fact is Republicans constantly rest on this "pro-business" posture as if liberals are anti-business. I think this is a historical thing actually from when people like Goldwater and Reagan represented the republican party, perhaps then it would have been easy to be a republican if you were pro business.

However now, I dont see any correlation between business promotion and party affiliation. In california just as many business leaders voted for Davis as Lungren as governor. I dont see how any business woman could ever associate herself with the current republican policies at any rate - they are insulting to women imo. So, if someone here is going to make a claim that the current economy, which is largely driven by high tech innovation, is somehow a republican handout Im going to challenge them on it - it is simply not true.
