"You know not of what you speak." How's the bumper sticker read? "If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention!"

Oops! Forgot one. In Canada, a person can be tried and re-tried over and over again for the same crime. Usually they run out of money and when they can no longer afford to defend themselves, the crown wins. (Regina vs Morgantaller)

Notice how the Supreme Court decision on teachers searching students in Kingsville is being played out? They should have called in the police -- The TORONTO police! <VBG> PW.

P.S. For our US friends: Our Supreme Court recently decided that it was acceptable to search students in schools. A teacher and V-Principal did last week, and now all heck has broken out. Also, recently a number of complaints have been leveled at the Toronto Police for strip searching people (including rectally) for such things as parking tickets and arguing with do-nut shop employees. I'm not kidding here! They even did this to a lawyer from England -- the guy was walking down the street and they hauled him (and his wife) into the station and gave him the full treatment. The mayor's still trying to patch this one up.
