I need advice on buying a computer. From the posts on this string, it would seem that some of you can help me. Here are my requirements. 1) Spending limit $2,000.00 2) Will be used primarily for internet/investing and all related activities including links to brokers, and analisys services. 3) Secondary. It will be used for kick ass games. I'm old enough to know better but its my money and that's what I want. 4) I am in BFE (Greenville, Nc) The only ISP available is 56K. May be 2 years before Cable is available. Satelite is not an option. 5) I want kick ass sound. 6) I am a banker by trade not an engineer or programmer, but can operate a screwdriver when given clear instructions. 7) I plan to pull the trigger around the end of the month. Feel free to make suggestions. Thank you Bruce
