TWEST, You said in your post, "Contrary to what you Conservative Jihad types would like to believe the moral character of this country is strong and improving." I agree, except for Bill Clinton. In fact, it is improving despite Clinton, and others on the hill.

Bottom line:
It's against the law to lie under oath. Last year, he dismissed a female officer from the Air Force for immoral behavior with an enlisted man. He's the commander in chief of all the armed forces. Why should his moral code be different?

I don't care where he gets his jollies, but he is not above the law, nor the standards that others have to honor.

And the thing really makes me sick is the Whitewater (small $$) and Savings and Loan scam (big $$) where they cheated old ladies out of their life savings. Can't prove without hard evidence because Rose Law Firm handled both of these ventures. (Fact: Hillary and Vince Foster hired college students to shread paper all summer to destroy evidence when Clinton was running for president.) The McDougals-Hubbells-Clintons aren't talking because they will all get the big $$ that are hidden away some day. Vince Foster wanted to talk, but didn't get the chance.
Nuff said. M
