Thanks for the words of support Garry. A guy like me could use them.
Just this weekend, I started going through my Ameritrade paperwork for the year. Wow, it looks like I made around 200 trades this year, my first full year of playing the market. For most of the year I was break-even, or a little down, but I could easily have made over $100K if I had just stopped daytrading! I found myself constantly leaving good stocks to play elsewhere. I was in DGIV at 1.43 and stayed for too short a time (did not make money with it). I was in PNLK at 2.66 and left too early. I even bought 1,200,000 of PRWT at .008! (I sold within a week and had to rebuy at .014.).
In short, I gradually formed this opinion: 1.) I do have the ability to identify stocks that can take off (eventually); 2.) I don't hold long enough.
So when Pacel came along and my DD on it was looking so great, I thought, this is it! I'm going to buy and just not sell until it has had its massive growth. Ha ha ha ha. This, friends, is why Pacel has been so frustrating. Who cares that I'm losing money--my ego is getting crushed! LOL.
But I write this post in good spirits. I'm getting my second wind and am ready to start my Pacel wait all over again. And for the first time I'm starting to feel like an Investor. So there's at least something good that has happened for me in these past three months.
One final point if I may: There are so many intelligent and good people on this thread, I find that very heartening. So hey folks, I've got a cyber-closet filled with marimbas, blowhorns, clickers, party hats and multi-color streamers, all set for the $1-At-The-Bid party which we're going to hold sometime next year. When next year? Not sure about an exact date, but looking forward to it just the same...
Good luck all, Chris |
