I keep seeing this 15,000 to 18,000 PSI number bandied around, it would appear to me that as the well is blown out this can be nothing more than a WAG. Did they get pressure measurements before the well blew? is this number based on the (I believe) 10,000 PSI well head blowing and a incorporated safety factor for the well head or is there actually some calculation with substance to it to support these numbers
